i tried to do it, did the entire walk through, at the part it said to press Y to bring up menu, i pressed it but no cheats appear. explain this to me.

Perhaps we should start with a different approach.

-Go to http://cheats.gbatemp.net/
-Download either CHEAT.DAT (J) or (UE) or USRCHEAT.DAT. Personally I prefer USRCHEAT.DAT, but in the case of firmware 1.18 CHEAT.DAT(UE) is best for you.
-Open the "_system_" folder in your Micro SD card, and delete either CHEAT.DAT or USRCHEAT.DAT, whichever is there, if both are present delete them.
-Extract the CHEAT.DAT(UE) that you just downloaded into the "_system_" folder.
-Fire up that R4! (No don't literally flamethrower it

Enjoy! (if it did work, if it didn't then redo above process slowly.

I HATE YOU, I DID WAT YOU SAID WITH THE FLAMETHROWER, NOW MY R4 IS GONE!!!!!!! I HATE YOU

thanks for the info

at do i do after i put the cheat.dat in it

if you put the cheat file in the correct place and you have the correct cheat file then your all set. any game that has cheats will tell you when you highlight the game in the firmware. you will see a "Y" option for cheating. (i think its Y - i never cheated with my r4).

-another world
