Hacking does downgrading mset and

formating system really cause a brick?It makes absolutely no sense that it would but people on here say that it did.

It will on a 2DS using a 4.x MSET.

Otherwise it's fine.

Though probably now with downgrading a reality, you may be able to even use recovery to get to 10.3 and back, so in reality it's a soft brick as before it was a hard.

only 2DS can really be affected by this if you use the 4.x mset like above. the reason is because during initial setup, you will be asked to raise the 3D slider, of which the 2DS obviously doesn't have one...
