Hilarious posts man, thanks for the lols

Everyone claims to have OCD these days when they don't. But you're the first one I've seen claiming they don't have OCD when they almost certainly do.

Keep 'em coming!

Bad news friend, the update downloads while in sleep mode.

you'll still have to click yes before it installs. If you're paranoid, just switch off the wifi before putting it to sleep

If your sysnand is updated to 10.4:

- You are out of luck, you can't access Homebrew* (for now) or CFW anymore, to bad
- No you can't downgrade from 10.4
- If you don't have a hardmod AND a 9.2 or lower NAND backup (always the frist thing you should do when downgrading) you are out of luck
- If you lose your HD with NAND/EmuNAND backups, you should have done a NAND backup again (You all knew 10.4 was comming very soon)
- Again: No you can't put any NAND backup back without a hardmod if you are on 10.4

Conclusion:
- Always make a NAND and EmuNAND on a regular base!
- Get your systems hardmodded, it's worth the money if you can't do it yourself.
- If you are on 10.4, you have entered the waiting zone for a 10.4 hack (if ever)
- Block Nintendo updates in your router or remove your internet settings in sysnand (if unlinked)
- Never trust your system to someone else, you might get it returned on latest FW
- Don't put your system in sleep mode if you are in SysNAND! (or EmuNAND, if you don't want the update nag) if you didn't block Nintendo updates properly

Blame yourself for anything that happens to your system, you didn't want! Not somebody else!

* Payloads have to be updated to 10.4 for known working *hax
- MenuHax,
- BrowserHax, - NinjHax, - OoTHax, etc...

You can still run homebrew (not CFW, you're right, and no downgrade either), but Browserhax and Menuhax need to be updated to accomodate 10.4 (and there's no update yet). All of the hax payloads were updated for 10.4 earlier tonight, if I'm not mistaken.

Wait so browserhax and menuhax still work on 10.4, but the exploit used to downgrade has been patched?

What if the browser auto updates for 10.3 users, would they still be able to downgrade?

Correct, browserhax and menuhax were not patched, but are also not currently working on 10.4 to my knowledge (browserhax is said to be working on 10.4 O3DS, but it's definitely not on N3DS).

What if the browser auto updates for 10.3 users, would they still be able to downgrade?

If you used some other entrypoint, then sure, you could try the downgrade. If it softbricks though, it's game over and you'll have to update to 10.4 (unless you have a hard mod, make a backup of 10.3 before trying to do the downgrade, and then restore the backup if it fails).

You don't have to have "a hardmod AND a backup of 9.2 or less". You could have a backup of 10.3 or less (e.g. of emuNAND), flash it, and try to downgrade from there. If it softbrick a you can reflash the 10.3 or less backup and try again.

my regular old 3ds is downgraded on emunand but my main one i don't wan't to downgrade but il have to if they block the homebrew eshop spoffer cause i still got money on my eshop

why people are updating their 3DS from sysnand ?

Can we get this posted somewhere in the open? I'm sure gbatemp is gonna get flooded with questions that this 1 post can answer for all.

but your gonna need to downgrade when nintedo patch the homebrew eshop spoofer again if you want to use poke bank or eshop since when they do that it will block any thing that requires nintedo id
