I'm beginning to wonder if it's also banned in the Middle East, since it's no where in sight -_-

Shit ass mentality of people, they are willing to show Hangover Part II in the cinemas without any censorship, and a game which doesn't even have a slight view of a nipple is...banned? Wow. This world is retarded.

I'm sure if it had a mature rating or a rating close to that on it, it would be accepted. Which is kinda sad.

Pretty stupid move if you ask me. The game (I assume Australia has the same PAL version as Europe) doesn't even include the age of characters like Kasumi, there's just 'NA' in the age column.

Another reason why I think North America and Japan are the best places to be if you want to be a gamer. They allow everything, but still give everything the right age rating.

Australia gets screwed a lot when it comes to games. Left 4 Dead 2 being censored, Mortal Kombat not being sold there, and now DoA?

Actually almost everything, too much crime content in Japan=Ban, too much loli or used in the wrong sense (US)=game never coming (although there are exceptions, NIS and Atlus gets some stuff with them passed the radar), not sure about the Crime factor in Japan for games, most of them either get a ban or Z rating (except Yakuza which gets D ratings, most likely not to infuriate the organization)

You can't really blame the developers for the photography option. It's the players that like to take upskirt photos of supposedly underage characters. Plus, it's not depicting any real humans or promoting sexual acts against minors in any way. I don't see how it's "child pornography".

It's actually kind of weird. I can't remember about Australian laws, but here in North America, I think the law is, someone can wear as little clothing as they want, as long as it doesn't show any genitals or anything like that, and it can still be legal. So even if a girl has two little puppy dog paw prints covering her tits, and a tiny cucumber covering the downstairs, it's still considered legal. But then again, that's for adults. Not sure about people under the age of 18... I'm sure the law is similar, just not AS lenient, don't know.

I have only 1 thing to say governments just get even more stupid with time.I dont care when they release piracy on 3ds and shit but I would love for a AR type cart that bypassed the region lock, that way we gets cheats and the ability to play games that get no release in our zone.

First Sweden, now Australia

It's not illegal to sell Dead or Alive Dimensions in Sweden. Bergsala AB the Scandinavian distributor just decided to pull the release due to the remote chance of it becoming banned here in the future. You can still find plenty of stores selling it here, it's just that they sell imported copies instead of locally distributed ones.
