For people who own a wii u and is waiting to buy a switch (so they don't make the same mistake they did with the wii u).
BoTW is a huge game and it would be a shame if people who waited on buying the switch (and stuck with wii u version) would have to do all the progress they made again.

I doubt a save-transfer tool will happen. Twilight Princess didn't have one for GC/Wii.

Why would Nintendo do it any other way?

I knew ninty wouldn't do that, but saves in such a huge game would be hard to remake.

    Ninty is Ninty, guys.
They're not Activision levels of milking but they do like their fanboys (the ones that buy shit religiously)
It'll most likely stay console exclusive

    Highly doubt it will happen.
The wii u has ended for one. So they arent putting in any more work on it.
Then they are trying to cut all ends with the wii u.

So i dont believe we will ever see that. Just gotta start the game over again and relive it.

Buy it for Switch and just download it for Wii U.

Why would you buy it for Wii U? The framerate looks awful comparatively, and it'll be a much better experience on the Switch, so just get it for that and forget the Wii U version.

I was asking in general, I already preordered switch version. (and will be pirating wii u one)

Some people are waiting to buy the switch since they might make the same mistake they made with the wii u (buying it)

My initial thought is, no probably not, but after a little more consideration, I'll say that its possible Nintendo may offer such a tool, however, if it proves to be too much of a hassle I think they'd just drop the idea.

You do realize that the Wii U has been sufficiently hacked for a while right? Leaving people no need to buy any titles for the system. Its understandable why one might download the game while they wait to be able to afford both a Switch and Breath of the Wild for it. Or, I wouldn't be surprised if the Wii U version finds its way online at a certain ISO site before March 3rd and impatient people might want to play the game before they can actually buy it and the Switch.

hell no. they know the wii u is hacked. they dont want exploit transfering to the wii u. for those that are saving up to buy a switch. you will have to suck it up and wait. i was young once to and i did not get many games as a kid. once i got my own money that changed.

I see no motivation on their part to do so.

If you bought Call of Duty Ghosts for PS3/360 you had the option to upgrade to the PS4/Xone versions for $10 when they came out... You could then even resell the disc you bought for the older gen and keep the digital version on the newer gen.

Nintendo in the other hand will have customers pay full price for both wii u/switch version of BOTW and it's DLC... Also people who bought SNES virtual console games for WII U had to buy them again to be able to play them on 3DS even when using the same account...

Yeah you are right, they are not in the same level of milking customers... THEY ARE WORSE.

Not near as bad as Sony's "You bought this game... but FUCK YOU! WON'T WORK ON THE VITA BECAUSE FUCK YOU!" like with Spyro the Dragon games or Crash games. :P
