Do you guys really watch "Let's plays"?

I know I have been trying to do some for a WHILE, but finally got the spirit and time for it .
Since Black/White 2 is coming out, I wanna start off with White .

I can also record PS3/Wii games in 480i(p?) quality.

Yes. I love watching Let's Plays. Especially for old school games. SNES, NES, Genesis...

My favorite LPers right now are ZetaPlays and Tobygames (tobuscus)

I watch tons of LPs on a daily basis. I don't check out new LPers very often because of my schedule and I think I may too many subscroptions already. I've even made a few myself. But if you keep at it I'm sure you'll find your audience. Best of luck dude

but some people are so annoying.. I dont know how they end up getting so many subs or good reputation.
For example giancarloparimango11, OMG HE IS SO DAMN FUCKING REPEATATIVE AND ANNOYING! I think in my head, "retarted teletubbies?"

There were a few of them that i find entertaining. But usually i dont watch them to watch them. I use them when a walkthrough gets difficult to follow, or i missed something.

I watched some of HellfireComms LP's. Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2 (and KH: Chain of Memories on another channel) because I don't own a PS2.

In some ways I prefer them to reviews (or at very least have them make a nice supplement) although a speedrun tends to work just as well- I figure pretty much any game can have a good trailer but how the game handles the downtime is often what I judge it on more. Equally if they have an alt path or I am too bone idle to do a level properly/finish a game I might watch one.

Equally if on the rare occasion I pay attention to reviews and subsequently steer clear of a title yet suffer curiosity I will seek one out.

Since we are talking about DQ VIII, I actually watched DQ VIII lets play LoL. Not all of it..

I only watched up to part 38-40 for the dq8 lets play. Rest of the game was easy to complete but I've missed most of the mini medals and I cba to collect them all.

Never did that then, wtf are you thinking to do it for HUGE games like DQ VIII, Skyrim or whatever?
Only time I watched a few of those vids is when I'm stuck in some game.

There are a lot of cult Japanese games that I watch 'let's plays' of (they call them 'jikkyou play', which is literally 'live-broadcast'). You can learn a lot of new stuff this way, especially for older (SNES-era) games.

Most LPs I watch are because they give a more accurate depiction of what a game will be like to play than a trailer.
