Sometimes I put a game in my wishlist to buy, i decided to buy if the said game gets a said discount, for example, Yatagarastu is $15. I would buy it if the discount is %50 or higher but it is always %33 when on sale making it $5 discount. Do they get any better or is always the same every time?

My only guess is that some people may actually be buying said game which is why it never goes higher than %33.

Steam discounts obviously depend on the developer. If he/she/they don't want to discount their game(s), then it won't happen.

They can have all sorts of reasons, but indeed: if they still make sales at regular or lowly discounted prices, there's not really a need for them to lower the price further. As mentioned in another thread, GTA V hasn't dropped below 50% off*.

*not entirely true: humble bundle store gives an extra 10% if you're a monthly subscriber, so in that case you can get it for a total of 55% off. But those sorts of deals don't really count.

Games progressively become cheaper the longer they've been out. IIRC, Killing Floor 2 was only 10% ($3) off the summer after it hit Early Access, but during the last Christmas sale, it was 33% ($10) off. Ultimately, however, it's up to the dev to determine how low the game goes. Honestly at this point Black Ops 2 should be going on sale for $15 because of how old it is, and should drop that $60 MSRP, but some publishers like to keep prices high for whatever reason.
