So if I cannot homebrew my switch, I'm at least having some fun with joycons using joycon toolkit.
Let's say that I have backups of both the left and right joycons, both of which have firmware 4.19 flashed on them.
Nintendo distributes a switch FW update which also comes with a joycon update to, let's say, 4.20.
Could I restore SPI backups from FW 4.19 on a FW 4.20 joycon? Would that flash FW 4.19 on it, essentially downgrading it or will the FW stay?
