Hacking DML/ Neogama loading lag / Backup Disk issues

I'm running 4.3u and currently using DML with Neogamma. While trying to play some old Harvest Moon games, I noticed that I have an extremely long load time between screens. When I load a cutscene, the menu, a map, or even the game itself, the screen goes black for anywhere from 30 seconds to several minutes before the game resumes. What might be causing this?

Also, when I'm trying to run burned disks through Neogamma with the IOS for it re-installed, I get a green screen and the Wii restarts. What is the cause for this?
