Hacking DLC question

If I install DLC, and I launch the game from a restart, then does the DLC simply not appear, until you use mocha or some other sig patching tool?

Is it ok to do that? Are there any issues with it?

DLC will not install unless it has legit .tik, in this case, game can be launched without need of going into CFW.
"Non legit" DLC with fake .tik [NUS Downloaders etc.] must be installed while being in CFW, and to launch x game you need CFW.
If you will try to launch Non Legit DLC, then you will be prompted with "There's a problem with Additional Content" message where it either tells you to uninstall in order to play x game. [Launch CFW in order to play it, don't uninstall]

I think I understand now. So once you install the DLC, you can't launch the non-DLC version of game without CFW like you did before...
