DLC and a secondary console

Hi. I want to set my OG Switch without CFW to primary, and use my modded Switch as my secondary console. However, I have one physical copy of a game on my modded Switch (secondary console) that has DLC included. I heard that the secondary system requires a daily online check-in to use digital stuff. If I have both of my Nintendo accounts on both of my Switches, one modded, will I need to do a daily check-in on the secondary console to play the DLC on my primary console? I hope this makes sense. Thank you!

I've never heard about such a thing but maybe it's related to a particular game?
With SmashBros and AnimalCrossings it was no problem to keep the Switch with CFW fully offline and only use local play.

What game is it you are referring to.

it's not a daily check-in, it's whenever you start up a game from that account. primary console doesnt need to check in ever

physical copies with dlc built in dont count also

Yeah, I have a secondary Switch myself, and it only does the online check if 1) I'm attempting to launch a game purchased digitally, or 2) I'm attempting to launch a physical cartridge game that I've purchased DLC digitally for. If it's neither of those, the game will launch without checking anything.

That said, this is when looking at normal, non-modded Switch systems. Can't really offer any advice otherwise.

That is correct non primary switch would need an online check to see if the primary switch is using the content or not everytime you launch something not daily check in.

modded console could probably bypass this by installing tickets for those games, with the correct title key in it of course
