Hello,
I want to make a shorter cable to use with NXLoader. I would like to get rid of 1m USB C cable + OTG adapter. So... can I simply solder USB C cable (male) to micro USB cable (male) ? Should I care of the 56kohm resistance highly recommended since I'm not going to charge my switch with this cable ?

It does seem easy to create a "normal" OTG cable:

All of my devices are USB 3.0+ so excuse me if this is incorrect, but IIRC doesn't it require USB 3.0 to execute the payload? I remember that's how fusee was in the beginning, not sure if it's still the same. But if that is indeed the case then micro-USB probably won't work :\
But again, I'm not entirely sure if it supports USB 2.0

yes, but on windows, tegraRCM and so on supports 2.0 and on linux, you can patch the kernel to make it work too.

Yes USB 2.0 is OK for payload injection.

Why? You can buy one for like $1

An USB C (male) to micro USB OTG (male) ?!

Yes. just buy micro USB to USB C and then USB C to USB C.

I'm probably not clear. I already have those cables. I want to "merge" those 2 cables into a compact one.

edit : I have an OTG adapter micro usb (male) to USB A (female) and a USB A (male) to USB C (male)

I know what you want.
I just googled "micro USB male to USB C male" and this came up.

Really, just use google.

I want exactly the same cable, ans unfortunaly I haven't found. Be careful with your schema they are for USB A connectors USB C are more complex...
What I have done is I have ordered two small OTG cable USB C - USB À (female) that I will cut to try to make and USB C - USB OTG cable (only 4 wire to solder)...

Oh sweet, yeah I've been out of the loop for a while. Glad to hear it supports 2.0 now, I have been going to my desktop every time to run the payload when I could've been using my old laptop :P (And getting to my desktop is quite a feat since I just broke my leg & had surgery on it)

just gets these and make your own to the length you wish, you can get the type c male with a shell also just like the micro usb one.

I don't see the resistor so I take it the cable I got will be good to go. Can't remeber but I think the resistor is for charging and the trinket won't be charging anything.

I want to do something similar. USB C cable (male) --> cut, // USB B micro (male)--> cut --> solder Sense and GND (like in my first post) // solder USB B micro and USB C

this is exactly what I need :

micro USB OTG to USB C
(not USB C OTG to micro USB)

edit : but no 56kohm :/
