When Square announced Dissidia 012 Final Fantasy at the Tokyo Games Show, we thought it would probably come to the U.S. with a slight name change. Apparently not, as the company announced today that the game is coming to the states, and is being referred to as "Dissidia 012[duodecim] Final Fantasy." The announcement also carried word that the bizarrely-titled fighting game would be coming to North America in 2011, so fans won't have to wait too long after its Japanese release to get their hands on it. The sequel will include new fighters like Kain and Lightning, and the press release promises more character reveals to come. It will also bring in an Assist feature to select a secondary character as a back-up, a la Marvel vs Capcom. Unfortunately, our own hands-on at TGS was underwhelming, thanks to the game feeling more like an upgrade than a sequel. We can hope that the full finished product manages to turn it around.[/p] Source EDIT: Keep forgetting my input. My lack of caring is disturbing.
