NOTEBOOKS AND TABLETS DONT HAVE HDMI INPUTS!! :nayps3: :gun:THAT IS THE WHOLE POINT OF ME SUGGESTING A HOMEBREW TO TRANSMIT THE SWITCH IMAGE OVER WIFI/USB
Actually, they do, if you use HDMI capture card.
You can find AverMedia ExtremeCap U3 cheap sometimes on ebay, and you can look on other website like Aliexpress for cheap capture card. Most are bus-powered, so you just need to bring a USB PD battery bank to power the dock.

For fucks sake as posted above there are workarounds. it's really about how much money you want to spend and how much shit you want to have it connected to

I was never asking for workarounds. If it is not possible to make homebrew like this, I am OK with that, but again, I was never looking to start a conversation about capture cards etc. though I appreciate the input.

Mostly the problem with this thread is some people not reading what I am actually suggesting and the reasons behind it. I consider this thread closed as nobody likes the idea and some don't even understand it.

Fair enough. You can close the thread though. Also something else that might interest you is https://nintendoswitchemulator.com/ they have an apk file. which would work on tablets

Haha, the amount of people who can't read in this thread! :D
Seriously though. I completely understand the goal of the request. I myself have a lot more unused laptops than unused monitors at home. But this request is kind of "between the tabletop and the docked mode", so I doubt anyone would go through the hassle of implementing that if we can already get something "close" :(

Btw, not to mention workarounds as solutions, but do you have no other use for a capture card? If you wanted to stream games or record your Smash matches, you could buy one for that and for playing the switch on a laptop screen, and that would kinda lower the price of that solution (plus I guess that streaming to a laptop through wifi would lower the framerate).

It is all manufacturers fault. Every fucking laptop and tablet should come with one mini hdmi input at the very least, this would save huge amounts of money to a lot people and the portability from it would be really an awesome feature. They don't do this probably for "business" reasons, so TV and monitor manufacturers can keep selling their overpriced junk.

Honestly a Notebook LCD IPS 1080p can cost as little as 40 dollars, and yet people are made to pay 500 USD and up for a TV/Monitor etc. What a joke.
