Hmm, so there IS an alternative to CIOSCorp

An updated guide would be GREATLY appriciated for 4.0 or 4.1

Soo many people saying not to use CIOScorp, I see no reason not to continue the work started in this thread...

This would be cool if it were updated. Loading backup games through disk channel isn't that much of a concern, but it would be cool nonetheless if someone wanted to update this for newer versions.

Dudes, preloader's IOS selection option is effectively same with this. But don't use both this and preloader's ios option....

Ok, did I miss something here? Preloader has never let me load backups from the disc channel, ever...

You mean the IOS Reload Hack or Patch the Menu to use 249?

The IOS Reload Hack gives always Error 001 (at least this will be fixed with rev14), and patch the menu to 249 only gives freezes. So right now, this is better (I guess).

@Reboot: It works...there's an IOS Reload Hack or you can patch the Menu to use 249.

I have a friend's LEF121+ (Dutch, PAL , EUR) (In USA etc know as LU64+) here and I get backups loading working fine, with Neogamma R6 etc...

I'm not a noob or newbie or something.

But, I installed 4.1E on his Wii as WAD. Before he was on 3.4.
I installed IOS16 60 & 61, downgraded IOS15 , and patched IOS36, restored IOS15. Updated shop, weather, news and Mii channel.
And installed preloader.

As careful as shiz... ;P

Now, this patcher freezes for me too, sadly..
And I can't install cIOScORP (since it will brick). Plus I heard only bad things about cIOScORP.

Now, of course... I'm either requesting for a fix.

But something else bothering me is:
I use the Reload IOS249 hack for Preloader.
But doesn't show backup games in the disc channel. It doesn't change anything.
Either with changing the IOS via the settings from 60 to 249.

This is probably not even a way to load backups games via the disc channel, right? hehe

this only worked for 3.2E systems, I was testing the 3.2U version of the patches, but they never worked

...!!

You can accomplish similar with Rev14 and Preloader running on 249. However, doing so will break the Wii options menu so it's probably a better idea to NOT do this.

I manage to do it.

Install 4.1U
IOS60BF
Install cios rev14
Install Preloader
Set preloader to load system menu using IOS60
Set Preloader setting to IOS Reload to IOS249

Game that is same region with the wii and do not need 002 fix, will load from Disc Channel.

Can't you just boot the system menu using IOS249 to load backups from the disc channel?
Sure, but this also disables almost all of the added-in features of the system menu such as SDHC support, the SD menu, and various bugfixes.

those with 002 errors still give 002 errors?
