If I can make the transition to system menu smooth with no health&warning page then this can be a better system start customization of all

i like it. easiest way to get custom startup screens. deactivate healthwarning with a preloader hack and autoboot your .dol. i like the idea of changing images and sounds on startup.

what use is the channel? i mean if we are going to be loading the POC.dol through preloader, what does the channel have to do with?

has nothing to do

POC.dol is to avoid having to go through the sysmenu

1)installed preloader
2)install hacks? (yes/no?)
3)made sure that waninkoko's cIOS is installed
4)already have sysmenu.dol in root
5)install the menupatcher.wad (doing the new one you just released) (this is the one i dont know what the point is...)
6)set preloader to autoboot the "loadPOC" that you gave? or still use the old autoloader
7)reset wii to start everthing up

Yep, I think so.
If you follow my guide completely, you should not have any problems.

Yes, but it doesn't take a long time as it is very small, and it doesn't permanently patch your system like CIOSCORP which could be dangerous.

btw sorry for the barrage of questions, im just trying to get this 100% with no error so i can give proper advice in the future. ^^

so bare with me =P

I get the whole loading the whole patched sysmenu thing about 99%
Its just when i tested the loadPOC.dol autoboot for aquilino it still didnt work on the region free.

so when you add the channel aspect into the guide it was just confusing cause it didnt play a part in the loading the patched sysmenu from the start with preloader right?

o i see... so the only point to having the preloader in the guide is kinda like an upgraded starfall with brick protection?
