I didn't see LEGO Star wars 3 DS on the list, but i can confirm it doesn't work, the gamegboots but then it says something about not being able to create a save and asks you to turn the system off. (Even with Mario Kart DS set as a save donor)
You need a DS cart in the slot to use as donor.

okay wait, so i just tried thegame out again and it just, randomly decided to work (even with a .NDS rom of mario kart DS as a save donor), it could be that this rom is the european rom rom still

and this might not have anything to do with it but I had LEGO Star wars: the complete saga in the cartridge slot

i'm just saying since i didn't find the game on the compatability list and can confirm that it does work (at least the EUR rom), i think there were slight loading times and crackles in the audio though

Actually, I think that copy of Complete Saga had something to do with that. I did some snooping around, and it's been said earlier in the thread that the donor cart has to have the same save type as the ROM you want to play as. In this case, I did some checking, and found out that Lego Star Wars III has the save type EEPROM 4 kbit, which is the same type as Complete Saga.

Not sure what having the same save type does, I assume so it wouldn't corrupt save data on the ROM or the donor cart, but I'm no expert on that.

Yeah, for one thing maybe it wasn't that, but for another maybe it could've, the thing is i still had mario kart DS (.nds) set as my donor, all i did with complete saga was insert it into the system

I do know I had a similar issue, a game I wanted to play wouldn't load even with MK DS set as the donor ROM, but it finally did work when I put in a donor cart as per what the OP told me. SDK5 games need a donor cart, SDK1 to 4 games need only the donor ROM, if I remember correctly. Maybe Lego Star Wars III is an SDK5 game? Can't say, since I don't have LSW III and even then I'm not sure how to determine what SDK is used for a particular game, but if it started working when you put in Complete Saga, it probably is an SDK5 game, which is nice to note for when the compatibility list is being updated.

It's only SDK3-4 games that need donor ROM, as SDK1-2 already has save patching implemented.

Oooh, okay. My memory isn't the most reliable thing in the world, and I don't really have a lot of games I use TWLoader for (namely Kirby Super Star Ultra and FE 12 English patched), and they both run nicely with only some choppiness, so I don't really pay much attention. On that note, though, any idea how to figure if a game is SDK5, though? I originally thought that DSi Enhanced = SDK5, but I noticed in the compatibility list, that actually doesn't seem to be the case, as some NTR carts are SDK5. Is it generally later games released that are SDK5 games?

I think you can press either start or select over a game to see the SDK version.

I guess that makes sense, shows how many games I use TWLoader for. I figured if someone had a way to know beforehand, it'd save them a little bit of time from downloading the ROM, transferring it over to the 3DS SD card, and start playing only to find out they'd need a donor cart they probably don't have. Though, in hindsight, they'd likely have a donor cart lying around anyways, so that's all moot.

Yes.
To check if a game is SDK5, press SELECT on the game in TWLoader.

It does, but because loading time off SD is longer you might desync.
edit: ninja'd and I didn't know about SDK 3/4

And let's say Megaman Starforce 3? wonder if can make brotherbands with certain people to increase my power aka Friendcodes or another thing..i guess

Both work, if the game is compiled with SDK1-2 or 5.
SDK3-4 don't work with them, because a donor ROM is being used.
But..hey i don't get this part, Since the majority of the games if not every game for now requires mario kart for saving and they are compiled with SDK4 or 3... so it seems to be that there's no possibility for playing online (yet)..right?
