Homebrew [Discontinued] TWLoader - CTR-mode NDS app

So, 1st, downgrade to a older version of TWLoader. This version will do: https://github.com/Robz8/TWLoader/releases/tag/v4.0.3

Then, get the nds-bootstap version that will work well here: https://github.com/ahezard/nds-bootstrap/releases/tag/V0.0.3

Rename that nds-bootstrap file to the unofficial bootstrap file, and install the TWLoader cia.

Now, you can play your homebrew...

Manual DLDI patching hasn't been required for a very long time, on any loader platform. I'm surprised to see it even still being brought up.

So I just updated TWLoader to 4.1. It's looking really nice (GUI) but now it won't find the ROMs on my DSTT? I changed the rom path to match... And now I'm getting a white screen?

I went back to v3.31 and they work now. I might try some of the other releases after that to see if they work or not.

Edit: vs 4.0.0 works!

4.01 works also
4.02 works..
4.03 works..

Tried 4.1.0 and white screen again, going to stick with 4.03 for now.

I actually got 4.1.0 to work by using the TWLoader - TWLNAND side.cia from the 4.03 release.

Thanks changing the cia NAND to 4.03 fixed it

Automatic Boxart downloading works perfectly! Only wish there was a way to add all my games on my flashcart to TWLoader at once

That question is more for nds-bootstrap, which does the .nds loading. The best nds-bootstrap version for homebrews is 0.0.3, except that version doesn't work with retail roms.

PSA Flashcard users:
For anyone who has a flashcard its pretty hard to set up just to use twloader, I advise to use this if you want to load games off the sd card.
Just to even use the flashcard with this you are making copies of the roms and porting it over to the 3ds sd card anyways.
Its like having two copies of the game. Just use your flashcard and make a nice theme you like and stick with that.

"release-bootstrap.nds" is the only file needed to be replaced.
Replace it with the bootstrap .nds file in here. Make sure to rename it to "release-bootstrap.nds".

Are the roms in "sdmc:/roms/nds/"?
sdmc is your SD root, not a folder, just to let you know.
Also, in the settings screen, set bootstrap to unofficial, as the release version currently doesn't work.

Explain what is an "irreparable damage" first and prove it with a pic. TWLoader can not damage any console. If your message is true, it is more like a problem with your hardware than a problem with TWLoader itself since any console with TWLoader had any problem like that

Just scan the two QR Codes and install them with a .cia installer (FBI). After that, create a folder at the root of your sd card and name it "roms". Create a folder inside that one called "nds". Here is where you'll drop your nds games and where your saves will end up. Launch Twloader and after it has installed you're good to go.
Also, your 3DS won't brick and you don't have to dump DSP Firm again, you did that in 3ds.guide. You don't need to do anything else that I didn't mention and it should work.
Remember that only a few games are playable at this moment. I'd recommend SM64DS, Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow and Mario and Luigi Partners In Time, they work well!
