Due to the release of nds-bootstrap loader, I figured I'd try this for the heck of it. But I have a problem - I'm trying to run some homebrew NDS ROMs with it, and SD card access seems to be bunk. Specifically, I'm trying to get Nitrotracker to work with the 3DS's SD card. I was under the impression it should work with the aforementioned bootstrap because of the DLDI patch. I realize I'm probably the one at fault here due to some lack of understanding, so let me explain what I've tried and what I think I understand:
-There's no DLDI patch that currently works with homebrew NDS ROMs unless the bootstrap here includes one that works
-By passing the argument "[0] sd:/_nds/bootstrap-dldi.nds", it should apply a DLDI patch on the fly (from the aforemention bootstrap loader released yesterday)
-Because of that, Nitrotracker (at least) should be able to read from the 3DS' SD card
But it doesn't, which is what baffles me (either for obvious or not obvious reasons as I'm sure someone will tell me)
What I've tried:
-just running the ROM itself hoping the above would work
-patching the ROM itself with a version of ahezard's experimental DSi DLDI patch that someone compiled (
here)
Someone managed to create a
.CIA of POWDER's DSi port with the save feature working which is why I'm so baffled. If someone could enlighten me, I'd appreciate it. Done some reading through the relevant threads here and I'm pretty sure I'm out of luck.
