Gaming DirectX 9 Game Lagging

Hi,
I have a really unpopular game called "Die Wikinger: Auf Schatzsuche". It's running on DirectX 9.0. On old computers it's running fine but on my computer it laggs pretty bad (like 3 FPS).
How can I fix that?

Try setting the .exe in compatibility mode to Windows 7 or Windows XP SP3 and see if that helps first just in case.

You probably need to use a wrapper like dgvoodoo2. It can help with issues like this, flickering textures, etc. Just make sure you configure it correctly.
