How many games do you have on there (or what did you fill it with)?
I got 600ish GB parted off for movies, full. Then I got about 240 Gamecube games, as many playable ps1 games as I can find(still not done, need to go back through a-e) maybe 20 cds worth of mp3s, important files from my computer that I backed up, wiisx unfriendly ps1games, some dreamcast games, other miscellaneous files, and the rest are wii games and wiiware. There might be some porn in there too.

Well that sounds about right.
There might me some porn in there too.
And the remaining 1TB goes away. ;)

Seriously though, it seems like the 3TB drive might be a pain to use so it might worth it to weed out the stuff on the 2TB drive you really don't use and put them on a 3TB you'd use for data.

So I'm trying to get Wario Ware for GameCube working, and I'm having a problem kind of similar to one mentioned in the compatibility list, but not under those same conditions. The game invariably freezes during Dribble and Spitz's Milky Way Delirium segment in Multiplayer, specifically during the randomized first turn selection screen. Nothing else in the game has caused any freezes or issues. I'm using Configurable USB Loader, and an NTCS ISO. Dios Mios and CFG are both up-to-date. All potential settings are at their defaults. I was wondering if this was something another person has encountered and found a fix to, because there are a million and one potential setup changes I could make, from testing every USB Loader to different ISOs to different settings within CFG in general or which CFG makes available concerning the game specifically, most of which I've no idea the significance of. If anybody's had this happen to them it would narrow things down considerably for me and I wouldn't be worried about inadvertently breaking what I already had the fortune to make work, DIOS MIOS being touchy as it is and me being as alien to this stuff as I am.

EDIT: Actually, the advice below solved my problem by proxy. So thanks! Hope it works for HackSponge too.

okay, those games are SUPPOSED to be compatible now but they've been known to be problematic in the past so you might need to try something else, just in case.

turn all the settings off (That's the most compatible way) and don't do any conversion on the ISO file. Just take the original, full sized ISO file, rename it to exactly "game.iso" and put it in a folder (of any name) inside the games folder (which is basically what the "RAW" option in the DMToolbox does)
should look something like this
/games/pokemon/game.iso

that will at least avoid as many errors as possible. (as well as making sure what you're using is formatted right)

ok, i'm gonna try :) very thanks!

Hey so I've been testing around for quite some time now but I just don't understand anymore.

I get some gamecube games to run fine (Super Mario Sunshine).
Playing it is fine, saving is fine, loading is fine(Real GC Mem.Card).
However I can only run the game once, after I try to start the iso again it won't work.

I tried this on USB Loader GX, Configurable USB Loader, WiiFlow and Dios Mios Booter.
My Highscore was starting F-Zero 3 times before it stopped working.

I thought maybe its because of the save-games on the card... So i deleted the Sunshine savegame and *voila* Super Mario Sunshine started working again, this time i didnt save, rebooted and tried to run it again. It didn't work anymore. I checked the Mem.Card but there was no save game on it anymore. I'm really confused...

Fat32, 32kb cluster
Port0

IOS are all fine (checked by another forum)
Dios Mios 2.10

Does anyone know why this happens?

Defrag your ISO's with a good utility like Defraggler or Contig. Your ISO's may be fragmented.

Thank you for your tip, I defragged the isos but there has been no changes. I also tested it on another usb-hdd with the same issues.
Here are some other tests I've done.

Super Mario Sunshine = ISO (Placed it in the wrong folder therefore not appearing and crashing on wiiflow, I guess)
Mario Kart Dash = GCIT - GcReEx
Super Monkey Ball Adventure = GCIT - DiscEx
Wario World = GCIT - DGcReEx => DiscEx
Viewtiful Joe = GCIT - DiscEx => DGcReEx

DiscEx giving the best results but it only worked every second or third time I tried to run the game.

After that test I converted all ISOs to DiscEx and I was able to start all games at least once or twice but it took up to 5 tries to get it running 1 time, without changing any settings.

Do the ISO's match up with the hash on redump.org? In other words 1:1 copies prior to compression/extraction?

Yes their MD5 hashes match.
What I've noticed (For Super Mario Sunshine at least). When I remove the disc from the drive (Wii Sports) and enable the "No Dvd Patch" it doesnt freeze at all and works everytime i start it. When I put Wii Sports back in and disable the No DVD Patch it only works 40-50% of the time I try to start it.

I tried the same thing on F-Zero and Wario World, DVD out - NoDVDPatch on, still only 40-50% success.
I will try Dios Mios Lite with a SD Card and see if the problem persists.

I am assuming you are using DM2.10 please download and install DM2.4 I had different results with some hdd seems to fix some drives that don't like Dm2.10

I tried 2.4, no difference. Thanks though :(

However, I tried Dios Mios "Lite" this time and everything works flawless if its on the SD. Every game starts every time I want, such a great feeling :D. The exact same Isos btw.

But of course 32gb(sd) isn't 500gb(hdd) and I'm not able to fit all my GC Games on that 32gb Card :\
Does Dios Mios support 64/128gb SDHC cards? (Edit: Yes, it supports 128gb SDXC cards)

I tried 2 HDDs with 3 different adapters. All fat32, active, primary, 32kb clusters.

USB Sticks:
Hama 8GB USB Pendrive (Didn't get recognized by the WII)

Adapters
A.C. Ryan Alu box USB 2.0
Generic USB 3.0
WD My Book Essential (Didn't get recognized by the WII)

HDDs
WD Caviar SE WD2500
Seagate Barracuda ES 400GB

Both HDDs suffer from the same problem on 2 Adapters (the WD Adapter didn't work at all with the WII), Black Screen on starting NGC Games at complete random.

Is there anything else I could try to make DM work with my USB hdd?

Hey can anyone help me with this annoying problem. When i try to use my gamecube controller on Mario Party 5 and Battle Stadium D.O.N ( dragonball z/ one piece / naruto) it doesnt work. Nothing is wrong with the controlelrs bc they work will all my other gamecube games and work in wii mode, but for those 2 games it doesnt respond at all.

P.s i was discussing it in a previous forum here

Just got a new hard drive http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00965HKK8/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

formatted to fat32, 32kb clusters. Tried a wii game and it works no problem. But Dios Mios just goes to black screen. Looked at it in easeus, instead of primary or logical, it says GPT (Data Partition). Not sure what I need to do.
EDIT: Figured out how to change the partition table, it's now MBR, Fat32 32kb sectors, active and primary. It still doesn't want to load dm though.

I'm kinda suspecting that that particular drive might be a 4k/sector drive (with the same problem that all 3TB+ drives would have). Does any other homebrew work with it or not work with it? You could always go and check the sector size directly http://stackoverflow.com/questions/9465451/how-can-i-determine-the-sector-size-in-windows

Also, even if it's 512 sector size, there are SOME drives that DM will just hate on no matter what you do, unfortunately.

I downloaded DM 2.10 from the code.google.com link and it comes with some annoying spyware/adware. When it was done downloading, it just showed up as a 1KB .rar file. Is there a more legitimate link somewhere?
