I see, what's the lastest DML version to use without need of HDD and than can work with disc channel?
DML (Dios-Mios Lite) is SD only and will never need a HDD.
DM (Dios-Mios) is USB only and will always need a USB drive connected, whether running from USB or from the disc channel.
The latest version of either one is v2.8 and both can play from the disc channel..

so um can I get your thoughts so i was on dios mios 2.8 alought of games i start like 7 times because they either turn off my wii or that stupid fatal app zero foolishness comes up so im thinking is wrong with my HDD but i downgrade to 2.2 and now every games works with no problems (including melee that one gave me alought of problems) do i have to do something special for them to work (without turning off my wii 7 times)on 2.8...?

EDIT: *sigh*
seriously ppl help a brother out

I am having some trouble getting DM to work on my wii. So far ive:

-formatted my hard drive to fat32 with 32k allocation size
-installed Dios mios v2.8
-put a mario sunshine iso in usb:/games/mariofolder/mario.iso
-have configurable usb loader v70

i dont think the problem is the hard drive im using, ive used it before for other things like n64 roms and its worked perfectly. everytime i run the loader no games show up. do i need a GC or wii game in my tray? not sure what im doing wrong

any advice? thanks

mario.iso <--- wrong
game.iso <--- good

"game" doesn't mean the game name, but the actual 4 letters "game".

if the game is a multi-disc, then you need game.iso and disc2.iso filename in the same folder.

I was just looking at some of the latest additions to Swiss and a new addition caught my eye.
r205 : - Add anisotropic filter forcing.
Of course this is new enough it's not in a precompiled version that I can test but I just got to thinking how that would look if added to DM(L), too, and what negative side effects it could have.

EDIT : or maybe it's something that would be best to add to Devolution where it would have the GPU clocked up to Wii speeds to better be able to handle that.

If anything, DIOS MIOS still kicks in to 480p with component cables even though it's set to 480i. It does go back to 480i, but the splash screen goes 480p

@Hielkenator I didn't know that, I have the game on PS3 anyway (man the graphics are massively different) but I'm downloading the GC version now, I'll see if it works on my modified version of DM 2.8!

Ok so I got the game, converted it to DiskEx format compressed with USB Loader GX latest version and DM 2.8 modified version, it worked fine up until I reached a loading screen and then the game just froze there, is that normal?

Can't help you with the problem but, unless you need the 2.6~2.8 feature AKA 2-disc loading, then maybe you should stick to 2.2. Even on 2.6 for me, a good number of games broke or had issues so I'm still on 2.2 for most games. I wish I could just have 2.6~.8 on there and be done with it but GC loading still isn't perfected and may never be.

Yes that''s the crash.

NO PROBLEM with this game with DM 2.5.
But now it seems that POP Warrior within is broken sigh...

Anyway thank you guys.

Yeah this happens to me too. With 2.2 Melee would sometimes not work (it would ALWAYS freeze without turning off, and then the second time I tried it would completely turn off, the third time it worked, usually), but recently I upgraded to 2.8 and played through the twin snakes and dios mios failed like 7 times in a row like you described. Unfortunately I do not have an answer as to why.

I have the official link to 2.5, anyone want it?
Here it is

Thanks I shall keep this version ready to install in my WAD folder anytime I try to play a game that is broken!

Well I just got a PM from 'someone' (great guy as always) for a fix for the game but haven't got around testing it yet, I'll let you know if it works!

hmm still no luck

i did everything correctly so far though right? installing DM, formatting usb, putting the game in the correct folder with the right name.

i wonder why this isnt working:unsure:
