It looks like it's a device problem.
Maybe DIOS MIOS is not compatible with your drive.

The games are on FAT32?
The partition should be the first one on the drive, primary and active.
the cluster size must be 32k of less (64k is not working on USB, it's recommended only on SD with DML)

All those settings are correct on my end. It does sound like incompatibility. As soon as the game boots my hard drive blinks for a couple seconds then just stops. I guess i'll just keep trying different settings in the meantime. Would forcing a video mode or turning on NoDisc help boot games at all?

reinstalling all 3 wads
DM replaces MIOS10 and visa versa You can't have both of them installed. Try just installing the DM WAD and see if it works. It SHOULD work for retail games, too.
I can confirm that DM 2.2 Update 3(as stated by Cyan there is no update 3) update 2 does work with retail discs with both the disc channel and loaders like DM-Booter and WiiFlow.

Ok i've gotten to the root of the problem (DM not booting at all, no splash screen) but i can't seem to fix it. I can't even get retail games to work now, just a black screen. I also can't uninstall the required files for DM (miosv10, bc06, DM wad files) since it gives me a ret -1017 error. Anyone have any solutions to this?

You did install a modded version of mios 10 (modded by wiigator) right? Easiest way to create wad would be through ModMii though.

When you say DM 2.2 update 3, that is the latest made on 7/20 right? Or was there one after without a changelog update?

HI i have DM 2.2 installed and on some games i am gettting a solid green screen both through emu and Disc channel with the original disc Tak 2 staff of dreams

There's no DIOS MIOS 2.2 update3

He is mixing "update" with "release".

Jul 18: DM 2.2 release : 2.2.0 first release (Added code to prevent drives going into sleep mode)
Jul 19: DM 2.2 update1 : 2.2.1 second release (Fixed PADHook setting)
Jul 20: DM 2.2 update2 : 2.2.2 third release (Added Extended NoDisc setting)

Okay i have one more question. Is there a GC tool that can restore the bulk size (1.4) to the iso? Or will i have to rip again?

I think you need to rip it again to have a 1:1 iso.
Devolution might certainly check the full data, and it's usually random data, so you can't recreate it with a program.

Yes as far as I know 7/20 was the last update for DM (not update 3 lol, sorry, previous post edited with correction), and currently the one I use. DML 2.2 had another update w/o a changelog recently.

You can use GCIT, or if you used GCReEX to convert the ISO you can use "GCReEX -c game.iso" to rebuild the ISO. However as Cyan stated I'm not sure if that will keep it a 1:1 clean rip that can be used with Devo or what not.

I was asking if it was available on google code page... You could be less jerk and say only one word: "yes". It was easier for you and avoid answering dumb replies...

yes, it's accessible from the google code page.
It's just not the default download page, it's an iframe redirecting to his own website.
just go there and download the latest DML2.2 (again).

http://code.google.com/p/diosmios/wiki/Downloads?tm=2

And Crediar updated the release date from this page ;)
It now displays Aug 14th (he uploaded it on 14, but the build is from the previous day).
Refer to it as 13 or 14, it's the same.
