Thanks for the above response, I also just found an unofficial build on the cfg usb loader google code page that resolved the issue of not ripping to the hd, and I'm ripping my first multigame disc to my hd as we speak. Nearly done with first game, will let you know if it moves to the next game or only stops after the first, I've got a good feeling it will take care of it, but if not, I'll just move to wiiflow (for the ripping, probably stick with cfg for the loading).
It's no problem to rip multi-disc GC games by using cfg mod r37 beta3 or later beta version
(latest is beta10). It won't rip both discs automatically. But you can either rip the first disc
or the 2nd one.

I think he was actually talking about disks where you burn multiple GAMES on a SINGLE disk. Does CFG separate all the games when there's SEVERAL games on just ONE disk?

icebrg5 i used kirby air ride only one i use and it doesnt work

That game has issues. You can not mess with the iso file at all. It has to be a full complete iso you cant use it in discex or grecxe format.

i use gamecube compressor not discex or grecxe and i havent compressed it

What is gamecube compressor?

You say you havent compressed it but you used gamecube compressor which i would assume compresses it.

sounds like your drive just isn't supported then or its not setup properly (formatted to 32 cluster size)

You could try using another program to format it again and retry it.

These are the two drives that i have successfully used with DM

http://www.staples.com/Seagate-Expansion-1TB-Portable-Hard-Drive/product_885314#id=%27dropdown_336646%27

The seagate one has the option to turn off sleep mode so you don't have to worry about your drive spinning down while playing games.
The Toshiba drive doesnt have this option and has froze up on me during gameplay due to spindown. A spindown fix was added to DM but i was never able to test it with the
toshiba drive since i am now using it for something else.

ok then ill get
Seagate Expansion 1TB Portable USB 2.0 External Hard Drive (Black)

thx ill buy it
hope when i go to staples its there

How does DML work now? I've been using r56 for a while now and seeing the updates... but I don't get how to use it anymore. Is there a guide for how to use this somewhere?

DM from USB sounds interesting too... hm.

Edit: On DML I get this Gamecube Loader splash screen, it loads this boot.bin and apploader.bin then hangs on a black screen. On DM after the splash screen it boots the disc in the drive. Without a disc it says something about apploader.bin... What is this I don't even.

Game was extracted with GCReEx -x mode. It worked on r56 and r59 (Pokémon Colosseum). I wanted to try Pokémon Box but it failed on both of those versions... even though the compatibility list says Box works with r58.

Bah Colosseum doesn't work with DM 2.0 apparently... hmm... Does it work with DML still? This is just... bah.

Edit 2: Huh stumbled upon a solution for r59 once I found out how to use the other commands of DiscEx.exe via cmd.

Has their been an update lately cause im still having the problem of not being able to load an actual gamecube disc without it hanging on the Dios Mios Splash screen
EDIT: It seems that if you have the ISO on your hard drive the disc loads fine
It need a USB device connected at wii, if not, it doesn't work. You don't need some game in it.
But apparently this feature is unstable

For anybody having trouble, MAKE SURE your partition is primary and active. I was convinced my hard drive didn't work after about a thousand tests until I finally realized I overlooked that step.

Works flawlessly now. Thanks to Crediar, fix94, and anybody else who helped make this possible.

Even when launching from Disc, it's mounting the USB HDD first.
If you don't have one, then it's waiting until you connect one before showing the splash screen (and it looks like a frozen black screen to most users).

About the unrecognized/problematic HDD, I'm willing to help debug it, but I can't connect to efnet anymore (I don't know why, I tried different servers but none worked).

Here works after several attempts, therefore I said that is unstable.
