Anyone still having problems getting Phantasy Star Online Episode I & II to work? I've tried an assortment of USB loaders (USB Loader GX, Wiiflow, and DIOS-MIOS Booter) and none seem to want to properly load the game. The last couple of revisions were apparently supposed to fix the problem, namely DIOS MIOS r18 and r20. I've tried with and without no disc patch, both either give me a black screen with no DIO MIOS splash, or a black screen after the DIOS MIOS splash. I also have NMM, debugger, and pad hook disabled (looking at the compatibility list, those don't work for the game). I'm quite sure it's not the rip, and I can confirm that every other game I've tried appears to be working.
When you don't see the splash screen, it's usually because your HDD is not correctly initialized (at least, for me, with USB GX, when HBC didn't switch the HDD correctly). try reconnecting it while DIOS MIOS is waiting on the black screen.
can someone clear up some confusion for me. The option to force widescreen i dont understand the need for it or what it does exactly. Even without that option enabled games like super mario sunshine are full screen no black bars yet other games like star fox assault have a black bar on both sides with or without force widescreen enabled? i dont get it. Thanks in advance
Like it's visually explained few posts above, it's not the size of the displayed picture on your TV which changes (it doesn't affect the black bar), but it's the content of elements displayed on the picture which are increased. It's like if the game was shot from a farer distance by the camera to show you more game's content. It's like a wide angle, on the same amount of pixel. Like Tueidj said, it affects the picture quality and reduce the details, but prevent the distorted pictures. Another solution to prevent distorted picture is to change your TV display back to 4:3
Does anyone have DM 2.2 or any version at all working with neek2o rev 88? I just get the following error when I try to run it:
DIOS-MIOS v2.0a
Built: Jun 30 2012 00:40:30
This software is licensed under GPLv3, for more details visit:
http://code.google.com/p/diosmios
Alloc:Failed to clear memory!:FFFFFFFF
Then the Wii just powers off. DM 2.2 works fine for me on real NAND, but it'd be nice if it worked in DM so I can run other MIOSes..
I also have this error (but not the same value) on real NAND with DM2.0
Though, newer DM versions don't display these logs anymore.
I posted these logs on previous page (before page100)
My solution : try again few times. after 2 or 3 retries it finally boot.
