DML 2.10 keeps booting the disc in the drive, yet DM 2.10 doesn't. Also, the old r52/56/59 boot the game, but it doesn't work (I swore it used to though). Using USB Loader GX, and tried setting both Gamecube game paths to the SD card folder with the game there. I'm at a loss now.

Edit: The game in question is Pokémon Box: Ruby and Sapphire. Adventure mode doesn't work on DM, but one of the old r52/56/59 versions did... or rather, used to. I wanted to see if it worked on DML 2.10...

Edit 2: Never mind, but I wasn't able to play the GBA games on the TV still. If anyone is able to do so, let me know.

This might be known, but I wanted to share just in case. Hard drive capacities that used to be pretty safe (less than 3 TB) are starting to move to AF (advanced format). Last month, I bought a 2TB Toshiba drive that uses AF and will not work with DM, even with a properly aligned FAT32 partition using 32k clusters, and even though the drive supports 512e (512-byte sector emulation).

I am having a problem. I had Dios Mios installed and working great in USB loader GX. I decided to make my Wii auto boot into the loader as it is for my kids and I needed it to be as easy as possible for them to access games. The problem is when it auto boots into USB loader gx the loader does not see dios mios, it just keeps saying I need to install dios mios, I also do not see it in credits. But when I load usb loader gx from HB Channel or Wii Dash forwarder channel it works and sees dios mios fine in credits as well.

Anyone here know how I can get this working. I have been messing with this for a long time now and my son wants his Wii back.
You need to install a forwarder channel not the other type

Yes, that is no longer needed for the vast majority of games. Actually, for the games I have I never have a disk in anymore.

I'd just use the latest version (2.10) but I think any version after 1.0 should be fine with that.
What does the error say?

nope :(
when i try to run a gamecube game without a disc inserted, Dios Mios says: "Fatal error apploader size is zero!"
i don't know why he search for a disc when the dios mios appear.. i used the "no disc" option..

boh.. the points are right.. i tried with dios mios booter but requires a gc disc inserted..
i don't know why the NoDisc patch didn't works..
i select "no disc" and when i start the game, dios mios search for a disc and says that message..
The drive will always make a noise because part of the process of running DiosMios is resetting the system. It doesn't necessarily mean it's looking for a disk.
On Dios Mios Booter, make sure the setting for the boot method is set to "new 2.1+". You might be stuck on "old" and in that case, newer versions of DM(L) can't see the instructions to boot the ISO and try to run the disk in the drive, instead (which also causes that error message)

says this: "Fatal error app_entry is not within the apploader"
however, i'll try another version :) thanks!
I used to have a similar issue, using a 500GB Toshiba hard drive, turned out the problem was the hard drive not being detected in Dios Mios despite it working fine with Wii games, I recommend trying DML (SD) instead see if that fixes your problem.

Oh and discs are not required anymore for most games, of my huge collection only two games require having a disc in the drive, one of them only needs it in certain areas while the other needs it from the start, all other work fine (or not work at all but that's a different problem).

Ok so I'm going to post this here as well as in the other thread I posted it in before and hope that someone can help me because i honestly dont know what more I can do/try.

I basically have the same problem as the OP did, I cant launch any of my GC games through Dios Mios no matter what loader I use, they all go to black screen. I even managed to set up Uneek+DI on my wii after a couple weeks of mindnumbingly going through tutorial after tutorial and a ton of trial & error. Still even if I try to load the games through neek or run a loader through neek to launch a GC game it simply doesnt work. Wii games are perfectly fine and fully-functioning. I also cant test any real gc discs because I lent them to my cousin after ripping them onto my external hdd and apparently he scratched them up -_____- please help me? Also the 1st partition of my hdd IS formatted as fat 32 with 32k cluster size and it is active and primary. I keep all my games in this format usb:\games\[GameID]\game.iso all the GC games have been chugged through DiscEx for the proper format and i even checked the md5 hash & crcs for them all and they are perfect. I even tried to transfer just the iso file type for the games into the directory and see if that works instead but still nothing. please please please help me out?
