Unless you have a very specific dvd drive, you'll have to use your wii to rip them and that program is for gc games only btw.

Yeah I ripped star wars rogue squadron III and ran it through the program and when I went to load it it went to the dios mios logo and I could hear the disc drive on the wii being accessed and the light on my USB hd blink but then it just goes to a black screen
That is one of the few games that is not working, try another game. here is a compatibility list: http://crediar.no-ip.com/gc/
that list shows rebel strike works but i guess i can try resident evil 2
I noticed that too, but I can't play that game either and I know other people have had this problem before for that game specifically.
ok just tried resident evil 2 and got a black screen, at this point i dont know if its the rips or my usb hd should i try another game or resoftmod from scratch with more updated ios's etc? is there another app to rip gc games with? im using the latest version of clean rip
USB loader GX itself can rip discs, and it's not bad.
do i still have to run them through the program or are they good as is?
I do not think you have to, but could you make a new syscheck since you installed the new d2x and whatnot?
sure will edit once i have it

EDIT heres the link to it http://syscheck.softwii.de/vD5uOz4b

ok i used usb loader gx to put my copy of zelda twilight for gc on my usb hd and now when i go to start it, it freezes on the dios mios screen and the light on my usb hd turns off

So.. Is it installed right when I can see the DIOS MIOS logo under the GameCube logo?... I get it when i try to load a GC ISO, but after the logo it just runs the disk inside the WII. If I take the disk out, I get the diosmios logo and "Fatal error apploder zero" something... What.. Is.. WRONG?!

Ok, you probably should run it through discex then.
I think I found what you did wrong, you installedd2x in the wrong place (sorry if that was partially my fault) reinstall it on ios 248 with a base of 56 found the guide i use to set up my usb loading when i did it here: http://gwht.wikidot.com/d2x but that is just the d2x part. if you do this, you will need to change the meta.xml of USB Loader gx. this next bit is from a CFG Usb Loader Guide but it works with GX as well, just put file it describes it whatever folder is in your /apps/ that contains your usb loader
"Download a pre-configured meta.xml for IOS248:
  1. Download the pre-configured meta.xml (right-click the link then choose Save Link As or a similar option).
  2. Replace sd:/apps/USBLoader/meta.xml with the downloaded one." from: http://gwht.wikidot.com/usb-loader

BTW, you still use the IOS 249 version of USBGX

How long do you let the wii drive work while a gc disc is in it?

Ok I did that and tried to play resident evil 2 from USB and it went to a black screen also it does not ask me if I won't to run it from USB or sd anymore is that normal?

This part of the error, at least, is usually caused by the loader thinking it has a different version of DM(L) than what it actually has. (information is sent in the wrong format so doesn't now what to do with it and can't find/mount the disk image).
How exactly to fix it depends on which version of DM(L) and which version of which loader you have. What do you have?

i wish i still had that problem but i fixed it by updating usb loader gx with r1200

maybe i should full uninstall usb loader gx and dios mios and reinstall them one by one and see if that works?

Okay, everything seems to look good. I'd say the FIRST thing to try for any game is just to rename the full sized, unaltered disk image from residentevil2.iso (or whatever) to game.iso and put it into the USB1:/games/resident evil [blah blah] folder, replacing the old one.

There are some games that only work that way. Running them through a program can make them smaller but it sometimes breaks them.

thats how it already is on the usb hd i ripped it using usb loader gx i just know its something simple its gotta be!

i think i might know whats going on, i loaded up cfg loader and went to settings and it showed dm2.2+ installed etc, however i noticed its trying to find something called nandemu i think its called on my usb drive and i used wiixplorer and there was no such file, i also searched my sd card and there was nothing with that name there either could this be why its not working and if it is how do i get this installed with the latest version of it?

EDIT after researching thats not it my bad still trying to get it to work

I have DM and the newest mod to CFG
If by the newest mod you mean r48, I thought that was supposed to auto-detect the right setting for that. I'll have to check.
i have the latest wiiflow, cfg loader and usb loader gx and they all see my gc iso's but none can seem to boot them i have also tried dios mios booter
