Hacking Difficulty in obtaining Roms

I don't really know about downloading, but unfortunately, I think that the game size will inhibit the UP-loading a little bit,
considering it's done out of nerd kindness.

I don't think size won't slow it down one bit...You still got people getting Wii, 360, and now PS3 games and those games can be huge.

I know for me, anything I can't download in a single download, I find a torrent...I never do multi part downloads unless I REALLY WANT THE GAME

No site that I know of allows direct download of PSP games. (Multi-part RapidShare downloads don't count.)
Hako had a website that did for some time.

I don't see why people would want to DDL them anyway, I'd much prefer torrents or usenet. The games will be downloaded regardless of size, I download tons of wii games all the time, same with PSP games, and if I h ad a PS3 I'd download those too.

If USA sees Canada's pay-per-data shit passing though it may be a different matter altogether.

300 GB of free space is enough for me.

And that's on a backup drive.

2GB will not be the common size, it is just what Nintendo has prepared for developers who go there.

But I am anticipating around a gig; and it may stop the people with archaic connections from downloading everything under the sun.

If it were me- I'd just take what's good. Alot of DS games it's just "Oh, only 32MB? I guess I'll give it a look."

But nah, wii pirates are over it and the core games will still be pirated.

lame, i can download 5GB in just a click. ow wait this isn't EoF. sorry sorry.

It might deter a minority of people but PC games are much larger usually and that doesn't stop people. Plus, PSP games can be around 2GB and that doesn't stop them.

yeah. pirates will always have their way, i mean our way.

2GB is nothing these days, you can download 2GB (with a good amount of seeders) in about an hour or so...nothing is going to stop them...apart from Nintendo's software!

An hour?
I downloaded a 2.3GB ISO today in less than half that.

if ur downloading that slowly, then ur probably not using the best methods of downloading. I can download about 5 gigs per hour, and that's pretty slow compared to a lot of other connections. don't use torrents unless u want to wait years downloading something. torrents r probably one of the biggest pieces of junk ever!

I downloaded 2.3 GB the other day, via an almost dead torrent, with my shitty Uruguayan connection. It downloaded at 150 Kb/s top and it was a pain but I didn't complain as won't 3DS pirates.

50 mbit connection plus torrents don't even make the equation when one is on usenet ;o)

Meh, it doesn't stop XBOX 360 piracy.

Although, we have yet to see if PS3 piracy pervades the hacking scene: those games are larger than the 360's.
What does that have to do with the 3DS?

Anyway, 2 GB is totally not much at all.
I download Anime torrents which are 10GB or bigger.
And I download does pretty fast (depending on seeds and leeches)
I download 2 GB in like 1 or 2 hours.
So I don't see what's so hard about this.

Lucky you! It takes me 600mb in an hour! X-(

My connection, (the fastest phoneline DSL you can get in the god damn state of Louisiana), averages 325KB/s which is a little over 1GB per hour.

I don't care though, because people need to sleep 8 hours, meaning, assuming I always download at full speed, I could download 4 full-sized games per night without issue.
