Hacking Difference Between Softmii 2.1 and 2.1.1??

Id just like to know the differences between Softmii 2.1 and 2.1.1 and if i am able to update it?

anyone know or has a changelog?

I believe Ver 2.1 had become corrupted on upload, causing one of the included apps to have the possibility of resulting in a brick. The archive was removed and the problem was rectified in 2.1.1, IIRC.

oooohhh well i have installed 2.1 should i download 2.1.1 and install it? also if the download had become corrupt and they fixed it why dont they fix all the theme downloads which are corrupt?!

Apparently the bricking issue only affected (effected?... w/e) 1 person, but they pulled the download just to be on the safe side. I have heard that if the install went successfully, there is no reason to update at this point.

Please note however that this is all information that I have heard from IRC and may not be 100% accurate.

That's odd. Archives both Rar and Zip usually indicate if there was an error upon extraction. Either way it wouldn't be a bad idea to ditch the old one and d/l the new one for people (like me) that keep the files around after installation.

Personally, I just fire up FTPii for that anyway.

Yes but the programmer of FS-Browser is Raven.
the programer(s) of SoftMii NAND Browser are softmii team

& one more thing : there wasn't FS-Browser in the 2.0.1 of SoftMii Pack

NAND-Browser integrated in SoftMii is very similar (if not sharing the same source)
this is actually only used to backup your System Menu file before altering it
