Hey all,

I've been using Yuzu on a work laptop for around 2 months now, never had any issues with it being detected as a threat/ malicious software whatsoever while it was running on 16.0.1 firmware.

I decided to give it a quick update to FW19.0.1 to see if it would improve emulation on any games (which I doubted, but why not have a newer one installed anyway right?) and as soon as I tried to launch a game, sentinel one antivirus flagged it as a malicious software/ threat. It didn't trigger as a threat until launching a game after the update I might add.

Does anyone know if there's something that the emulator changes in terms of access which would cause it to get detected after the update?

I have renamed the Yuzu install folder, added the .exe which was removed again, and it runs. Though I haven't tried launching a game yet to see if it gets flagged again.

The laptop work gave me has an RTX3500ada Installed and a 13980HX so, it's way better than my personal 7 year old 7th gen GTX1060 so I really wanna continue using it...

Thanks!

Yuzu has been discontinued for a long time now, switch over to Ryubing

As for your antivirus... a lot of antiviruses like to flag stuff that isn't malicious as such

If you got Yuzu from the official site before it shut down it should be safe

If you got it recently you likely got it from an unofficial source and the files may have been tampered with

I know it's been discontinued for a while but it still works well which is why I was using it :) However, if Ryubing is a good substitute which is still active, I'll take a look at using that instead, thanks!

I was using Yuzu for 2 months with no antivirus flag which is why I was wondering if installing firmware 19 causes it to try accessing something else that caused the flag, but I dunno why it would do that!

I never had any probs with fw19 on Android, using the last official build.

If this is a work laptop it could be an update to that is now giving false positives as I'm surprised you even got to install yuzu lol but I'd be worried about them seeing all your games lol!
