I was running the updater on my 3.52 M33-3 for 5.02 GEN-A. It was in the middle of the running the updater and then the PSP shut off. Now the screen is completely black when I try to turn it on. Got any ideas of how I can fix this? I hope its not bricked =\

Thanks

So you don't have custom firmware already installed, right? (Just making sure)

If your battery is charged and you turn on your PSP and the light is on but the screen remains black, then yes, your PSP is fully bricked, and you'll need a pandora to fix it.

I was running 3.52 M33-3 before this, so I had CFW already installed. Do I still need Pandora's Battery?
Try powering up your PSP while pressing the R button, y'know, like going into the CFW configuration menu.

If that starts up, you could still recovery.

Why install GEN-A firmware? I heard it sucks. Better stick to M33.

Yes you're bricked....however if you can access recovery you can unbrick yourself without a Pandora using Hellcats Recovery Flasher. Otherwise you'll need a Pandora battery and MMS to restore it.
