Hacking Did I just completely ruin my 2DS?

Hi folks. I apologize in advance and hope I'm not breaking any rules. I'm in desperate need of help with this, so any input will be very much appreciated.

Like a total moron and a cheapskate, I used KevExperience's video "How to install A9LH + Luma CFW in 11.2.0-35 " to try to hack my 2DS. I didn't follow the instructions of the video, but the instruction txt included with A9LH files and all that jazz Kev included with the video. I backed up the NAND and got as far as Auto CTRNAND Transfer.
After that things went south. I think I might have missed some crucial step.

Instruction txt tells me to use the web browser to get arm11.bin file from github - did that and the system froze. Tried a few more times - still not working. So I power off, power on, and try to go back and use Soundhax - also with no luck, as the system freezes when trying to "play" the <3 nedwill 2016 file. It's also worth adding that the top screen resolution is all blown up and out of whack.

So at this point the system freezes when trying to get arm11, the system freezes when trying to get to Soundhax - but overall it's still working.

So in a stroke of total genius (not), I decide to restore the system to factory settings. Big mistake, as now on system startup, it's asking me to adjust the 3d slider - which I sure don't have, it being a 2DS and all.

So my question is - is there a way for me to get myself out of this quagmire, or is my system just completely bricked?

I realize that I should have read the video comments from many others who've bricked their systems using Kev's method. I also should have gone with a flashcart like a normal person. Regardless of all that, once again - any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

You should've followed 3ds.guide not very many people brick due to non user error problems, video a9lh tutorials are frowned upon, because like this situation, they're more likely to brick.

I believe you can't use soundhax because you're on 2.1 ATM.
When you use the web browser, are you navigating to the correct URL?

First, never use youtube videos. They are always out of date and a quick way to brick. Always use the The Guide.
Second, you've soft-bricked your 2DS.
You can either restore your system with a hardmod and NAND backup or try out this thread

I think what happened is you didn't have the arm11.bin on your SD card. The url isn't to get it, it's to run it.

Thank you for the replies everyone! As I own neither Cubic Ninja nor OOT, I think my best bet would be to just get another refurb 2DS and do it the right way the 2nd time.

Your error was following a video. that's your biggest and only error, sadly.

I gave up hope and got rid of the nand backup so I could format the SD for a RetroPie setup.

I'm sure if you ask nicely on here someone would be able to sell you a copy of ocarina of time with 2dsaver pre-installed, and if you are both really shrewd you could get them to buy it from say gamestop, post it to you with the reciept, you unbrick and return it for your money back

Let this be a lesson to anyone else thinking of hacking their 3ds or 2ds. DO NOT USE A VIDEO GUIDE or anything but THE guide for that matter. These youtubers are NOT experts and more than likely used the real, trusted guide to hack their system and then hastily made a video and uploaded it in order to get their epeen to grow. Never trust a youtard.
