That's probably the worst picture to come up with for Devolution.

Did it work for all your games?

It worked fine for Smash Brothers and Super Mario Sunshine. It's just like Extrems widescreen hack for Swiss or Devolution, it doesn't support all games. Animal Crossing is one of the games that the widescreen hack doesn't work for.

I'm sure more games will get widescreen support in the future as it is kinda a problem playing through vWii. It's the same problem with playing VC games on vWii.

Personally I find it ridiculous to have anti-pirate features in a homebrew program like this. It's a waste of time. Time could of been used to flesh out the program better. Now others who don't like ap will have to waste their own time removing it instead of going straight into development of their variation. So Fuck you for slowing down the progress of others work. You just want more people using your's while they wait for other people to making their own apps. AP=selfish_homebrewers, so go to hell!

I know this anti-piracy crap doesn't belong in this thread, but seriously, drop the sense of self-entitlement. From what I can tell, tueidj designed this program on his own, and if he wants to include anti-piracy protection (for any or no reason whatsoever), then that is his right. And from what it seems like, what you, me, or anyone else thinks about that decision is irrelevant. I just love how you say "Fuck you" to someone who has made a loader, from scratch, that can do things that you can't even do officially through the Disc Channel. In addition, it runs most games flawlessly, and is one of the best homebrew programs for the Wii, if not the best. It doesn't seem like its development has been hampered in anyway by his anti-piracy stance.

I'm glad there's Classic Controller support now, but the AP really is crazy.
I think re-verifying 30+ games, one after another, could make anyone cynical.
Devolution is nice, but I'll be dropping it for Nintendont when that matures. ;)

Using Settings Editor GUI 1.9 you can change the resolution back to 480P which fixes many of the emulator resolution/fullscreen issues.

Heads up for anyone who cares, I can confirm that Devolution fully supports using the analog shoulder buttons on the original Wii Classic Controller (the one without handles).

This was tested via F-Zero GX.

EDIT: Therefore it's very possible that this Mayflash GC-CC adapter may actually support Devolution's analog shoulder buttons properly:

i wonder if you can "verify" the GC iso with a modchip modded wii and a backup GC game disk?
That depends on the mod chip but it won't work for a lot of them for one reason or another. The author doesn't really seem to like them.

Thanks! I've heard of it, I just haven't gotten around to adding it to my SD card. That would work great for the time being but I'd rather see games that don't currently have widescreen support receive it in the future.

There seems to be some kind of weird glitch or something that results in hyper-sensitive analog sticks on the classic controller and the Wii U pro controller (GameCube pads are unaffected and PS3 pads are unknown) which seems to be most noticeable with F-Zero GX (me and one other person both run into said issue via GX). The solution just seems to be a reboot of the system.

Yeah I just tried it on a few games. DDR Mario Mix works with it, but it's wonky and not really Widescreen lol

I'm having issues using wii classic controller with luigis mansion. Upon entering the mansion with the poltergust, it immediately begins sucking at the slow speed as if the analog right trigger was barely pressed. The left trigger either blows slightly or does nothing. Going into cstick trigger mode eliminates the problem, but introduces another which makes the game unplayable (you need both sticks for this game). Is anyone else having this problem? The issue also sometimes crops up in Mario sunshine, only in that fully depressing the trigger causes Mario to take a flood stance, but no water comes out.

A small note: I wrote an extensive tutorial on how to transfer games on this link.

I was talking about 1st verification. He mentioned that Family Wiis could not read GC games, which I don't think is correct since I would think the Family Wii has AHBPROT support. I think you just need to over come the disc size limitation.
Wait a second here. Yes, I said that. But that doesn't mean it doesn't have AHBPROT support (it does, just like any other wii that has IOS58). The problem is the drive itself. If you follow the instructions in this post correctly, that can be solved. :)

I'm having the same problem with the analog calibration in F-Zero GX using my classic controller (non pro), after adjusting the calibration on settings seems to help. Metal Gear Solid still has that lag glitch after switching disc 2.

Did you try rebooting Devolution? I had to do that to fix my above-mentioned analog stick sensitivity issue, which I then went on to test the non-pro CC analog shoulder buttons which I found to work perfectly fine.

yeah, admittedly its quite an icky pic. i removed the offense and replaced it with a logo i whipped up with GIMP. i dont think there's an official logo for Devolution, but this is definitely better than the 'Devo hat'.
