Hacking Devolution GBA GCN link cable support with GCN controller adapter on WiiU?

I have been investigating my options for maintaining GameCube support on a WiiU before purchasing one. Seems like my options are very strong.

I do however have one question about compatibility. If using an adapter to connect a GameCube controller to a WiiU do I also have support for the GameBoy Advance link cable? Using the GBA as a controller, Christal Chronicles, Four Swords, etc...

Maybe not because for Wii/U the GC controller conected by adapter Its only a "Classic Controller"
