devkitARM is the toolchain everybody uses to create great homebrew which I guess could be considered a particularly significant contribution to the Nintendo DS scene. [IMG]

According to the rules the entry should not be already-existing homebrew unless there's been significant updates.

Unless I've been talking to a poser at #dsdev, then he's the real slim shady.

It did have a major update, adding DSi stuff into the mix. [IMG]

It also added other things within the last couple of weeks, like my built-in dynamic texture and palette allocation method. Well, I find that significant. [IMG]

with the dearth of DS/DSi entries... if devkitARM/libnds can pick up some funding... so much the better.

That was a waste of my time posting my project when I know I am going to lose against this guy. [IMG]

Your entry can be easier to use, thus better for beginners.

I bet the mods would be willing to free up the Wintermute name if it hasn't been logged on in forever.

And yeah, this seems like an automatic winner. Where would we be without devkitarm?

Also that 500 USD for the "Guy who contributed most to the DS homebrew community".

I'd bet he's deserving enough for that prize.

Thanks for the support guys, much appreciated [IMG]

Hopefully I didn't put you off entering at all, there are lots of other categories, I just thought devkitARM would be a good contender for the GBATemp Special Prize.

Good luck to everyone who entered, I see a lot of interesting things I'll have to find the time to check out.
