Not sure whats meant by threaded build but im using snes9x2010. I asked because that's how my saves ended up corrupting

As long as this post has WIP in the title, do your self a favour and backup your saves regulary

Did you use the snes2010 from the first post in this thread?

I believe I did yeah. About the backups, should I store them on my PC? Because using NX shell to back them up didn't work when push came to shove

You shouldn't save them on your sd just in case it would get corrupted (like the whole sd)

Tho the black screen does indicate you used the threaded build.

its runing on 2.3.0 but some bugs i realized:

-Fullscreen is not working
-Some audio scratches
- Press R/L to load/save is not working
-R3+L3 is not going back to menu
-Some freeazes
-Fast forward and slow motion is not working too

Ah thanks. So does this mean there is a build out there w/o the black screen?

The black screen did not corrupt your save. Your save gets written on Close Content, not on Quit Retroarch.

Use the build in the first post.

Dude... we have 96 pages, you don't think we've realized that by now?

Fullscreen is done, have fun searching through the thread, its not ready yet.

Loading does work, it takes like 30sec - 1min

Honestly no.. I wont explain more. Read through the 96 pages

Sorry at this point everything has been said. It's just time for me to do my work. All of the stuff you listed has been fixed on experimental branches.

You can use them but I don't guarantee it won't break your save file or crash

You can try the newest snes2010 with threading and fullscreen here https://git.m4xw.net/Switch/RetroArch/libretro-snes9x2010/-/jobs/628

Just started the task for you, wait a minute till its done

You can backup your whole sd yo your pc that's what I do. That way if anything gets deleted or a switch games has corrupt data you can just recopy it over

I h

Had too for some reason random games get a corrupt error and its annoying searching through 30 games and redownloading them lol
I didnt encounter any more corruption bugs after moving to fat32 tho.

Just switched back to exfat, lets see if that actually did smth or was unrelated

Spoiler; have been having some exFAT corruption happening at random.
Some say to just run one homebrew at a time, and refresh back to the home screen every time you exit one, but I'm not sure if that totally alleviates it, or simply minimizes the chance or corruption. But I've had to re-download some games in the process.

Tbh I have been crashing my switch non stop lately and didnt have 1 single corrupted file on fat32

I've had that happen a lot before

Seems completely random for me with exFAT (in regards to corruption, not crashing), but geh.
Not totally sure what causes what, but I'm considering backing up/switching to FAT32 if I see it become truly troublesome.

ya same has been happening to me i might switch to fat32 for the fact its annoying.

3. No, who gives a fuck? If you don't see the Issue here https://git.m4xw.net/Switch/RetroArch/RetroArch/boards you can be sure I am not gonna work on that anytime soon.

Not like I get paid for giving you free shit. I've been working non stop in my free time to make this possible.

I would lie if I tell you my private life is not suffering, so... maybe practice for u.

Sorry but this "shouldn't", I really dislike the tone
Crap.
I apologize.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

You'll have to wait either way anyways. But we'd rather wait for something that'll work better than struggling to make something else not befitting of the hardware work by brute force. It's why everyone else says to use PCSX-ReARMed instead of the Mednafen based cores.

Hint hint, it's why 4DO, VirtualJaguar, Yabause, and etc. are not worth the trouble of improving individually atm.
I see. Helpful advice there, thanks a lot.
