Homebrew DeSmuME Action Replay Help

It won't let me save my actions reply codes. Please help. Well a more better explanation. How do I add codes?

You need to learn how to google shit.


1). File -> Open Rom... -> (Pick your ROM)
2). Emulation -> Cheats -> List -> ["Cheats list" window]
3). Click the Action Replay button -> ["Add Action Replay code" window]
4). Paste your AR code and give it a description, then click Add button
5). Repeat Steps 3~4 for each code you want
6). Here's the tricky part... on the "Cheats list" window, press the SAVE button

No, your problem is you're very un-descriptive of the problems you run into.


What does the error say? "Can't save cheats to file."
Go Config -> Path Settings -> Cheats and make sure your path is set to a folder you can write to, like your DeSmuME folder.
If your DeSmuME folder is inside C:\Program Files (i.e. C:\Program Files\DeSmuME 0.9.6\) then you should move the whole folder outside because UAC in Windows Vista/7 prevents non-admin elevated programs from writing to anything inside C:\Program Files.

Okay that still didn't work. The add button that you use when your about to add a cheat...its not highlighted and won't let me click it.
Sorry for not being so descriptive.

What version of DeSmuME are you using?
I think 0.9.2 didn't have AR Cheat support

Or do you mean the Add button on the "Add Action Replay code" window is grayed out, like this:

If so, you need to add the code first, then the Add button is click-able.

ok i have the "can't save cheats to file" problem and i have changed the cheats folder to C:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\Administrator\Eigene Dateien\desmume cheats but it didn't work
