So I just yesterday started homebrewing my wii and trying to get games to work from an sd card or a usb but in the process I think I messed something up.

I have slots 222, 223, 249, 250, and 254 saying they have (STUB) cIOSes in them and when I try to overwrite them, it fails or gives an error.

I have done a ton of googling and all I see is that deleting them is too dangerous and to just overwrite them. But that doesn’t work so I don’t know what to do. The specific slots I’d need free are 249 and 250. Thanks!

drag and drop your syscheck.csv onto modmii.exe and it will tell you what to do, good luck!
Hi, so I did the syscheck thing and downloaded 12 wads. I think the IOS slots now have something in them but the problem I had in the first place (which I maybe should have mentioned in the post) was that USB loader gx crashes when I try to start a game. The guide I followed said that its a common issue with cIOS so that's why I wanted to overwrite them.

USB loader gx still crashes after trying to start a game and I tried to install the needed cIOS but it still doesn't work. I've made sure the USB is formatted to fat32. Do you know what else I could try?

Then ....check your attached USB Device....is it in the right USB slot?

And we have to be patient, till some of the two mentioned guys look into your syschek...'cause i can't "read" it
;)

Try another HDD or USB device (Stick) for your Games...

You don't have Priiloader installed, follow the guide to do so.
Also you need to install cIOS 249,250,251. Follow the guide here.

I do have priiloader and I can open it by pressing the power button and reset button so I can confirm its there. And that cIOS guide is the one I've been following but the problem is that it fails or gives and error when I try to install them.

Please post an updated syscheck to avoid confusion, your hacks should all be optimal now after using modmii's syscheck updater wizard but ppl are still focusing on the old syscheck because you haven't shared an updated one for us to confirm you did everything correctly.

Oh right because I did it before, sorry. Here's the updated syscheck:

I'm using the version posted above already. The usb stick is a 8GB kingston DTSE9. I also tried a 16GB toshiba one but it didn't work either.

You can try formatting it as wbfs with WiiBackupmanager to up the compatibility a bit.
What exactly the problem you are having? Do the Wii/GC games show up at all or not?
Do you have an issue launching them?
Does the usb pass the initiation screen?
Make sure its set to show Wii/GC in USBLoaderGX if they're not showing up there.
