Hi everyone,
I just got really into retro gaming (was only using emulators before) and my girlfriend gave me a gamecube for my birthday. I wanted to play with it but games are really expensive and I wanted to use a modship so I bought a xenogc clone on eBay. I soldered it and the led become orange when I pluged in and it asked me to set the language and the date so I thought it worked... but I cannot play burned games. I already tried 4 disc on different computer with 2 iso. I don't think the disks are the problem as I cannot access the menu by pressing start when I launch a game. Could my xeno be defective or is it possible it is a soldering problem ? Also, is it easy to desolder a chip like this and how would you do ?

Thak you in advance

Check the laser pot settings.
Nintendo did not configure retail gamecubes to play burned games.

(Although AFAIK swiss enables burned games without altering the console, in practice finding mini dvd-r discs readable at factory settings is difficult)
