I have it working through both Gamma and USB loader. 8gb generic flash drive ripped off a burnt dvd. Works great.

Works great here usb loader 1.1............ i always have a disc inserted.

You must have a disc inserted.

I just made a topic about this as well.

You need a disc in the drive for it to play.
It never told me to insert disc just loaded a green screen then returned to the wii menu.

Correct even a blank disc works.

The wii has a trigger in the drive to say a disc is in there so evena peice of cardboard would work the same shape as a disc hahaha.

NOTE: KONGSNUTZ DOES NOT SUGGEST USING CARDBOARD IN THE WII

I just keep my Brawl in there since I don't have a HDD yet and play that a lot am using my 16GB Flash drive to play games, and surprisingly i have all the games I want to play on it including Deadly Creatures with the exception of Brawl.

When I get a hard drive in a week or two I'll replace Brawl with F-Zero GX which I also play a ton

Just have a disc in there at all times, don't insert blank discs, a gamecube game you play often is best IMO

having the disk inseerted in games like this or metroid prime 3 defeate the point...just use gamma in this case huh? i mean they are listed as NOT WORKING in the compat list for a reason hahaha but idunno thats just my experience that without a disk they dont work (hense they do not work with the app but with the disc)

You don't need THE disc inserted...just A disc. Being able to launch 70 different games without changing the disc is a lot better than gamma where you need each game's disc in the drive.
