So, I tried to do this on one of the other boards and got no help so I figured I'd come here and try. Dead Space doesn't work for some reason. The sound is funked up if you're running it off of a disc instead of a usb loader. There was a running rumor that changing some feature to console default fixed it and, technically it did. Problem is it also makes the game freeze after about 15 minutes. If anyone has any advice on what I could do, please let me know. Running a usb loader isn't really an option for me though so please, just go ahead and forget that one.

Maybe I'm suggesting you all aren't.

So that worked for you? That's cool. Is R8 like ok to use? I mean, I assume it is. Any ideas on when it'll be out of the beta phase?

I'm on 4.1u with cios rev14 using Neogamma r7 with a ntsc-u version of the game. So 4.2 fixes it huh? Up until this point, I had only heard that 4.2 didn't offer anything but headache. I've not got to try the NG r8 beta to see if that works out yet but, I guess if it doesn't, I can always try upgrading to 4.2.

Step out of the stone age and start using a USB loader. Works fine for me in USB Loader GX.

Please sir, hold all sarcasm till later. We've already covered the usb thing. If i wanted to use the usb loader, I would. I just really would prefer running discs.

For me the game is running on every loader (Disc and USB) i testet so far. Its the PAL version by the way.
What rev of CIOS are you running?

although I do agree USB loader is the way to go. It's personal preference or affordability I suppose.
