Dark-Alex is closing his forums on http://dark-alex.org/.

This does not explicitly mean that he will no longer be working on the PSP scene, but it's definitely not a good sign!

Alex needs to get back into the scene.

He has done so much, why stop now? I mean, sure he has the right to take a break and live his life, but it's going to be sad if he shuts it down forever. He could work on updates here and there.

But I'm not going to be sad just yet. I have a feeling once 5.55 comes out in the US, he will be here.

In fact, there is already 5.55 out, with at least two titles requiring it (you can't spoof your firmware for these; they actually USE 5.55's features)...Tales of Vs. and Soul Calibur:Broken Destiny.

I wonder what will happen now. Maybe GEN firmware will take the spot...

Has anyone ever used one of the GEN firmwares? I've always stuck to M33, so I have no clue as to what makes them different.

He said he was only going to do major updates. 5.55 is not major just some games. Once a new firmware with good features comes out maybe then unless he has quit completely because of all the people begging for firmware just so they can play a game.

wait till the Next BIG UPDATE happens on the PSP(over Network update) and see what happens(6.00),
CFW will NOT be made just to play ISOs

it is mostly for playing HOMEBREW

when you can do the steps i posted to play it

there is also NO OFFICIAL 5.55 eboot (you CAN make on with the umd update)
