I’m fearing that the flash drive I’m using to install my games on has been damaged. It contains about 15 years’ worth of my family’s save data. The drive’s been through years of wear and tear and it was only matter of time before something happened.

I have no idea what to do right now. I have absolutely no experience when it comes to modding consoles or anything of that matter. I can’t find any comprehensive tutorials and I’m losing my mind.

How do I recover (and backup my save data)?

Don't Wii store Saved Games and Miis saves in its internal memory?
Wii Options –> Data Management –> Save Data –> Wii

Or are you using emuNAND?
Or are these games for different emulators and/or emulated memory cards?
