the best thing you could do is contact the M3 team. I'm doing stuff most flashcarts can't except, so if they are assuming something they are screwed.

Your hack including 245 songs loads fine on no$gba just by using a proper save and setting save type to "Auto". I've tried changing internal name/serial to a random/"new" one (and header checksum accordingly) on the hacked ROM to test whether the CycloDS is checking those and avoid its patch (which seems to mess the hack execution on the Cyclo). No luck. The Cyclo must be checking something else to spot this ROM and apply its patch.

were is the hack icluding 245 songs???
u r talking about the firts title????

I'd happily test it if I knew which patch was which on Deufeufeu's site. There's like, five or six different daigasso.dps files on there. I've tried one out, and it didn't work, but I don't know if it was the "correct" one, so to speak. Really, I just want the 245 song hack to work on M3DS Real. Not so much concerned about the actual translation.

This is the patch. Apply with this tool to Daigasso DX.

Please, tell us if the patched ROM loads on latest M3 Real firmware.

Nope. Doesn't work on M3 Real. It hangs at the "Save file doesn't exist, creating save file" screen for a while, and then the bottom screen says "Save file format error". Using one of the 100 song saves only leads to the M3 locking up at the "Loading" screen.

The patch works with AKRPG!

245 songs!! and a good start on translating...

Thanks a bunch

(still wondering why nobody publish a us/eu version of the best rythm game ever...)

Hello,

I'm new to the forums, and I signed up only because I noticed this thread. I've been hacking Daigasso DX for about a week now, and found it interesting to discover deufeufeu already doing something similar. I'm still working on documenting the entire specification of the song format, and following that, intending to create a homebrew similar to bdxtool, which allows easy swapping of downloaded/custom songs on the save file.

In short, I'd like to help out with the hacking part of this project. I'm also familiar with Japanese and English, but neither is my native language so I'll pass on the translation.

All the same, kudos to deufeufeu for the initiative, and groundbreaking work on this project.

Cheers.

you could check http://deufeufeu.free.fr/bbdx/bbdxsave.nds basically it's bdxtool as an homebrew working with cartridge save....

If someone is intrested in, and because I've not seen it written anywhere, the patch (the last one, linked 5 or 6 post above this by kazumi, works great on SuperCard SD. Just take the backup rom file, patch it with the hack, then patch it again with SuperCard's Patcher and obtain the .dsq and .sav file. Delete the .sav file, then patch the original rom (the one without the hack) and delete the .dsq file.

Make sure that the .sav from the original and the .dsq from the hack have the same name, than put them into the SD Card.

Launch it.

Just wanted to say how good a job deufeufeu is doing. Thanks for all your hard work and effort

Hey, I'm new to GBAtemp but wanted to possibly offer a hand with the translation for daigasso. I'm a Japanese major in university in the United States but currently studying abroad in Japan.

Also I had a look around on this forum but didn't see one, but does anyone have a patch that just adds the songs but doesn't change the hiragana/katakana into romaji? Thanks

For use with slot 2? also, what am I supposed to do the the bdx files- are they like bbs files for Daigasso DX?
I know this can be used effectively, just dunno how.

Man this tool is incredible. I just extracted the songs from the Ranma save files (collection of the first 221 Nintendo songs) using this tool, and injected my favorites into my official cart. Now I can save my download slots for newly released songs. I will rip the new bdx's and upload them when I hit 100. I used my Supercard Lite in slot-2 for this btw.
