After upgrading and downgrading quite a few times from Windows XP to Windows 7, I think I know

Yeah XP is pretty decent and stable, I also keep switching between 7 and XP

Didn't Windows 7 Pro have XP mode with it? I haven't used it myself (only have Home edition) but I would think it gives the best of both worlds.

Oh, and, don't advocate piracy. Aside from it being taboo on these forums, it's unlawful anyway. Microsoft go to all their trouble to create an OS that makes most people happy, only for people to use them whilst refusing to pay/support them? It's just not right (although, that said, my Windows 7 only cost me £30 per copy...).

Yep, you're correct Rockstar. An operating system made nine years ago and is more vulnerable to trojans is better than a modern OS that is less vulnerable to trojans.

Ebay is a horrible place to purchase Windows7. It's extremely likely that you'll get scammed.
If you're a student (uni, college) you can get Win.7 for cheap. Only if I was a few years older.

some programs still work better on XP, and with a good combination of antivirus, firewall and common sense you wont get any trojans
