Hacking custom splashes not working

my custom splashes arent working. any idea how to fix it?

i upgraded my sd card but thats it

So you already had it set up and it stopped working... did you recently add remove or replace files on your sdcard?

So you copied everything to a new SD and it won't show on your new SD... card will it show with your old SD card inserted

well I just tried changing the splash several times and the splash just shows up all black

That's not exactly what I'm asking I'm trying to see if it's a problem between your console's firmware or if it's simply a problem with the SD card itself if it's a problem with the SD card itself and it's likely corruption in which case I'll tell you to test the card but if it's a problem with the console that we have to go down an entirely different route so I want to know if it'll work from a different SD card and I assume your old card is still set up
