Hi guys,

Does anyone know if you can change the names for the GameCube games for USB Loader GX?

I have Mario Party games from 4 to 7 for GameCube, Mario Party 4 shows up in the list with no spaces in the name but Mario Party 5 - 7 show properly hence making Mario Party 4 show up in the list after 7 (not really a problem, just annoying).

The folder within the games folder is listed correctly with spaces so I am assuming it gets the name from within the ISO.

You could try using GCIT (GameCube ISO Tool) made by the authors of Wii Backup Manager.

Hope this help ;)
Thanks for the help.

I gave the software a try, it wasn't able to help directly because it's functions are limited but I was able to confirm from the information it gave me that USB Loader GX does take the GameCube games names from the volume label of the iso. This did point me in the right direction.

I have been able to sort the issue now that I knew where it got the name from.

I found a piece of software called GCRebuilder, this program can see all of the files in the iso, the volume label is in the iso header file. Unfortunately with GCIT it could read the iso header but not give access to the file.

From GCRebuilder I was able to extract the iso header file, modify it with a hex editor and re-import it into the iso.

Now my games are in the correct order😊
I'm a bit OCD with things having to be in order, it nags at me constantly if they're not.
