I'm on 3.2E, and I was trying to run a PAL retail copy of MadWorld on my Wii. It wasn't working at all, but with this installed, it works through the backup loader. What I don't understand is... Why isn't it working through the normal Wii software loader? Is there another IOS I need to install?

You are missing an IOS, run wufe from HBC, it extracts all IOS from the disc to sd card. Rename IOS37,IOS38,IOS53 and IOS55 .out.wad to proper .wad filenames and install them with WAD Manager. Don't worry they will be installed parallely to all other IOS and cIOS you have, it won't change anything else than making not working games now working.
Does IOS36 rev 09 work with the gamma backup launcher.

I think you should have installed cIOS36 rev 09 before you installed 4.0.
I don't think it's possible now, not sure though.
Read the FAQs and tutorials regarding 4.0 for that.

i used to go out to the recycling center every couple weeks and look at the crts and other electronics people would drop off. Usually screens were broken or severely scratched from being tossed around. Did find a good one here and there, but never anything like a 1080i widescreen crt. -
