eventualy maybe, and this is more of a PoC than anything i think, theres a couple of apps out for it, i think he cracked the dvd drive to load burnt disks without modchips NOT BACKUPS for emulators(well just genesis emulator so far)

It's justa little custom one I made some time ago. I've just spoken with Waninkoko, and we both used the same method

I usually keep these things in private, thats why not many have heared about it untill he's released publicly.

It's just the beginning, more is to come

Can anyone confirm that DVD-+R's work with the emu? Or is it for CD-R's only?

Apparently so, but only for homebrew.


I would test it... but finding IOS37-64-v2070.wad is proving to be difficult.

Because Sega CD's were that, CD's. Unless I completely misread and thought it could play Sega CD's.

The Wii's drive cannot physically read CD's (I think).

Nope, I don't believe there's an emulator out there for the Wii which emulates an original physical game, they all run ROMs.

if we can then......

yes as far as i can tell its burnt disks for the emulator without the need for a modchip, iv never used genplus so u know i cant test it i dont even have roms to test it, if someone can provide a rom and where i put it on the disk then ill try it right now

Just checked, and it doesn't get dumped("000000010000025").

the only emulator released so far that reads burned discs with this new IOS is the new genplus-gx release.
If you found the wad, PM me for no reason...

so if you use the new ios, you can load burnt disc without a modchip only with the new genesis plus, not in geckoOS or other things

ok it would seem that the wii drive loads i this, but i had to use a CD r because i dont want to use a DVD for one game, it tried to load, but failed maybe i burnt it wrong how was the filestructure ment to be?
