For PSP, what do you suggest, the modchip or getting custom firmware?

And to install custom firmware, what's the process?

The custom firmware. You can do everything with it that you can do with a modchip.

Modchips are outdated this days. Custom Firmware all the way.

What firmware do you have? You need to downgrade then install custom firmware.

modchips for the psp are only for unbricking so to play ISOs and homebrew you need CFW,

And even then, you can unbrick any psp via Pandora at a much lower and much safer cost.

Custom firmware is THE way to go. It isn't even an option. Just do it.

Okay, so how do you downgrade the firmware to install the custom firmware? Anyone willing to write something worthy of a sticky on how to install the custom firmware?
